Inherent in the driving system of disc
and
drive roller making sudden contact
is
a
tendency
to
lurch or buck when the machine
is
started from
a
dead stop.
To
make smoother
starts
possible,
a
series
of
sprockets and chains transmits
the
motive power from the drive roller
to the wheels.
